It was the year 1939 when the Neuroi appeared. Nobody knows where they came from or what their ultimate agenda is, but the fact remains that their attacks drove people out of their towns and cities.
In order to take arms against them, humanity develops a new anti-Neuroi weapon called the Striker Unit. Using the power of magic to fight against the monsters, this new device enhances and amplifies the power of female magic-wielders. To use this device, young witches from all over the world have been brought together to form an elite task force unit called the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, commonly known as the Strike Witches.

while it has it's appeal for the interesting wwii imaginery, it's only an ecchi show, since the story leaves too much to be desired. eyecandy, at best, is what this series is all about.

After watching this somewhat lolicious anime in its entirety - and confirming for myself that it is, indeed, better than one would expect from its rip-off character - there is one thing that still bothers me... Why aren't they wearing any pants?

It's better than one might think. Your typical Mahou Shoujo (even though it's not tagged as such... it's girls with magical prowess) show with a bit of good fanservice.

It could have been a very good show with excellent intriguing story but they choose to make shallow one with mediocre characters (I liked Sanya though :P).

No male protagonist, or atleast better plot? Only loli with mecha? LOL. Pretty boring for me. If u're loli lover, who likes this kinda stuff and don't mind about pointless plot. Then yes, why not.

forgot a recommendation this one is alright its mostly Loli fanservice etc but the plot holds it up fairly well since it is so short check this out if your looking for a Filler anime in between longer shows its funny and has some good moments with likable characters
